One of my earliest memories is August 29th 1994. It was the day my little sister was born. I can remember walking down the hall of the hospital with my grandmother. She held my hand and I walked with my eyes looking at the floor. As I walked holding my grandmother's hand, I saw the sign my mother made, announcing "It's A Girl!"
You would think? I would be happy to have a little sister, but in reality I wanted a brother. In that moment of seeing the "It's A Girl!" came a rush of disappointment. I don't want this to sound like I don't love my sister, because I do! I just want you all to know as a 3 1/2 year old, I wanted a baby brother. Honestly, I wouldn't want a brother now. I love having a sister.
